paid with $9 register rewards ($4 Theraflu/Lipton + $4 Theraflu/Lipton + $1 Wet Ones) + $0.98 + sales tax

We have one Walgreens near Fredericksburg. Since it is across town from my house, I sometimes plan to spend all my register rewards before I return home, as they expire about 2 weeks from the date of issue. My first priority with my coupon shopping is to bring home free food for our family and to share with others. So, I don't usually drive all the way to Walgreens unless I can get a great deal on food. This transaction represents an expenditure of $9.99, but in the previous two transactions I made during the same trip, I received back $2.02 and $0.78 more in register rewards than I spent. So, for all three trips, I spent $7.21 cash for some regular groceries -- 4 Ragu, Bryers ice cream, sandwich bags & 2 Lipton tea, oh, and 4 extra large Hershe Special Dark chocolate bars and Quaker mini rice cakes -- and I got some other stuff too -- 2 Neosporin and 2 Theraflu. And 2 Wet Ones -- Glen travels, and likes to keep these in his car. We were down to our last jar of Ragu.
