Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. John 5:24

"Eat From the Pantry" Challenge

Eat-from-the-pantry

I am joining in on the fun over at moneysavingmom.com and lifeasmom.com, and accepting their "eat from the pantry" challenge. Here are my goals and plans:

1. It is my goal to spend between $60 and $75 for the month of January for all household and grocery items, including all food, toiletries, and paper goods.

2. It is my goal to entertain guests in our home for dinner or for lunch after church on a Sunday afternoon.

3. It is my goal to provide some of the groceries for two of my adult sons who live in their own apartments.

4. It is my goal to prepare at least 15 meals from the following list:

fajitas, bbq pork sandwiches, ham, turkey, chicken with stuffing casserole, steaks, hamburgers, spaghetti, baked spaghetti, chili, taco soup, split pea soup, beef stroganoff, Buffalo chicken strips, bacon & egg sandwiches with soup, chocolate chip pancakes with bacon & eggs, bratwurst, polska kielbasa, calzones, homemade pizza, meat loaf & roast beef sandwiches.

I have most of the groceries on hand that I will need to prepare the above entrees. I will need to purchase ground beef for the spaghetti, taco soup and taco soup.

5. We will continue to eat out as a family on Wednesday evenings before church services, and on other occasions. This money comes from a separate part of our family budget.
