My Mom and Dad have been providing a house for our extended family at Ocean Isle, NC each summer for many years. Each year my Mom makes her spaghetti sauce from scratch at home and brings it to the beach for dinner our first night.

One of Mom's favorite meals is Greek chicken. For a new twist this year, we grilled the chicken. In the past I have prepared it in a skillet on the stove.

excellent low carb fare -- smoked turkey, bbq chicken, two veggies. Only had to resist the bread.

For supper, we were invited to a friend's house with a fantastic view of the fireworks in Fredericksburg. We took deviled eggs.

The pita bread was a non coupon item. I bought the Hillshire Farms Kielbasa when it was on sale, buy one get one free, and used a coupon for $1 off the purchase of two. The peppers came from the farm stand, and I used vidalia onions I purchased at Bottom Dollar.
